Naomi Y. Cordova joins the VPLC team as the new Legal Assistant for the Legal Assistance to Victim-Immigrants of Domestic Abuse (LA VIDA) program. Naomi brings a wealth of experience in immigration law and a diverse skill set to VPLC.

Naomi has a robust legal background, with many years of client communication, legal documentation, translation, and case management experience. Previously, she worked as an Immigration Paralegal, Workers’ Compensation Paralegal, and Immigration Legal Program Coordinator, demonstrating her commitment to supporting clients through complex legal processes. She also has a strong nonprofit background, having served as a Bilingual Parent Educator with Family Lifeline where she provided essential support and education to families.

Naomi is not only dedicated to her professional endeavors but also to her artistic and academic pursuits. She is a celebrated painter with over 10 years of experience, actively participating in local and overseas exhibitions and working with curators to promote artistic expression. In addition, Naomi has made significant contributions to the field of theology, earning awards for her research at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She will be receiving her bachelor’s degree in religious studies in the fall to supplement her associate’s degree from Brightpoint Community College and her ABA-certified Paralegal Certificate.
